You are heartless. You've commented on the Jackson matter from the beginning. To claim you were surfing channels is so disingenuous! Why be so rotten about a young girl, a 12 year old, losing her father? I can see that crap from some of the loser men on the Vine, but from a woman who claims to be an educator, I find your remarks astounding, cruel and classless. Inexcusable and appalling for a woman to make that kind of comment about a 12 year old. Where I come from, that would make you a bully!

What "you" have given up for black people! Lady puleeez you haven't given up anything, nor are black people asking you for anything except to ditch the hiddend superiority complex that you have and the subtle quaint racism! For you to say that you have sacrificed a whole lot for you kids and family for black people; please check your history and tell me about your struggle as a white person. I am apalled that you could use such hateful words, in such a stong context towards people that have never done anything to you! I'm sick as a black person that supports everybody just reading your blog and I can see the white sheet hanging over your head! Have a great day...

I was drawn to your post concerning the child slave from Egypt. I wanted to challenge your assumption that you possibly know more about african-american history then the average black american. You are wrong, completely. First of all, by your comment I doubt that u have very many meaningful conversations with black people. I can tell by your 'outside looking in' laced comments, meaning u look at my cultural from the outside and form judgments without ever considering our internal dialogue. If u did talk to black people, u would know the fact that africans sold rival tribes out is a very well known and highly discussed fact. Furthermore, modern day slavery is something long discussed and fought against in our community. Oprah did a few shows on this very topic. Danny Glover and Jesse Jackson have worked against it. When talking about american slavery, I find it interesting that all white america want to take credit for ending slavery and fighting the resulting Jim Crow system when those battles were controversial and liberal efforts. After all, it took a war and the death of a president to end slavery. Then slavery continued, in varying forms, for the next 80 years. Before Jim Crow there was sharecropping, anti-loitering laws, and chain gangs. The African- American struggle for freedom was a long and hard struggle against the system of slavery we knew here IN america, against the slave master we knew here IN america. Our struggle for freedom wasn't against the African form of slavery it was against the American form of slavery. Now that the U.S. has evolved it's thinking its now time to fight slavery around the world, and yes in Africa. Now our actions back up our words, now we have moral authority--And to rest of the hate mongers posting. There are many immigrants from around the world who come here and embrace our culture, leaving the traditional ugliness behind them. They expose us to some very wonderful cultural expressions that have expanded our world, very simple example Yoga but there is so many more. And then there are others who know right from wrong but choose to cling to practices that are pure evil. Just like there are americans who cling to evil practices, how many times have I heard of some american man holding some woman or girl as a sex slave.
